A refreshing cherry matcha latte made with homemade cherry syrup, creamy milk, and earthy matcha. Perfect iced or hot!

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 2 tablespoons cherry simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • Fresh cherry slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Make cherry syrup: simmer cherries, sugar, and water until thick and bright red. Strain and cool.
  • Sift matcha powder into a shaker or jar to remove clumps.
  • Add cold water to matcha, seal, and shake vigorously until frothy.
  • In a tall glass, pour cherry syrup and milk. Stir lightly.
  • Add ice cubes and pour matcha on top for a layered look.
  • Garnish with fresh cherry slices, stir before drinking, and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can adjust sweetness by adding more or less syrup.
  • Swap dairy milk for oat, almond, or soy to make it vegan.
  • Turn it into bubble tea by adding tapioca pearls before layering
