  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 2 pints fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 medium pineapple, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 medium bananas, sliced
  • Additional dippers as desired

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease slow cooker insert with cooking spray
  2. Add chocolate chips and heavy cream to slow cooker
  3. Set slow cooker to HIGH setting and heat for 20 minutes without stirring
  4. Stir chocolate mixture thoroughly, then continue cooking on HIGH for 10-15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes until smooth and glossy
  5. Switch slow cooker to WARM setting for serving
  6. While chocolate melts, prepare fruit by washing, drying, and cutting into bite-sized pieces
  7. Arrange prepared fruit on platter surrounding fondue pot
  8. Serve immediately with fondue forks or skewers for dipping

Notes

Fondue maintains perfect consistency for 2-3 hours on warm setting. Add warm cream if mixture becomes too thick. Store leftovers refrigerated up to 5 days.
