Description

These Gluten-Free Cheese & Marmite Scones are bold, cheesy, and perfect for savory snack lovers who follow a gluten-free diet.


Ingredients

Scale

225g gluten-free self-raising flour,
1 tsp gluten-free baking powder,
50g unsalted butter,
85g grated mature cheddar,
1 egg,
4 tbsp milk (or oat milk),
25g Marmite,
1/4 tsp xanthan gum (optional)


Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan).
Sift flour, baking powder, and xanthan gum.,
Rub in butter to breadcrumb consistency.
Mix in grated cheddar.
Whisk egg, milk, and Marmite. Add to dry ingredients.
Bring together the dough, roll to 2.5cm thick.
Cut out scones, place on lined tray, brush with milk.
Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and risen.
